When I let the amplifier warm up a little, like 5 minutes, and start playing on the clean channel, it automatically changes to drive-channel. Especially if you play sturdy, the channel switches. Only when you select the drive-channel itself, it will stay on this channel. Can someone help me with this?

Thanx in advance,

Michael

Hi mhadjih,

Possibly, you have a problem with the channel switching circuit, namely op-amp and +/- 16 volts supplies. Sounds like maybe poor solder joint(s) or broken circuit trace in the supply, likely around the 5-watt resistors and/or Zener diodes. The 5-watt resistors are the big white blocks next to the bias adjust pot.

+1

Those notorious concrete resistors are prone to premature failure due to thermal overload.
