Odd subject title,I'm sure,...but here's why;...I just got my HRD III amp yesterday and I like the fact it came with a cover. However,...for those of you who own this latest version or the earlier ones, other than keeping her covered when not in use, what is the best thing to use to keep the black tolex looking it's best? I don't want to be using harsh abrasive cleaners on her! Reminds me,...my truck is hollering for a wash job! :D :D

Thanks,Arjay! I was wondering about that, but in my mind I was questioning on whether that would be good to use or not. But if you use it on your amp,it must be good product
to use! How often do you wipe yours down with Armor-All?

Once every decade -- whether it needs it or not.

Spray it on a rag and wipe down as necessary -- do not apply directly to the cabinet (overspray on the grill cloth will attract lint, dust, and other airborne contaminants).

Might I suggest some that is a little better (IMHO), it does not attract dust, it doesn't sit on top of the Tolex. It is called 303 Protectorate (works on vinyl, rubber, etc). Go to a Marine supply store, and ask for it. It costs a little more, but does a superior job to Armor All.

For what it is worth I use renaissance wax. Takes more effort than armor all but it being a wax it should prevent any oxidation fpr a long time. Yeah I know it is weird. But I also use Klasse all in one on my strat and does it ever make a difference. Talk about luster and shine!

This is what I use, seems to get in a little deeper than Armor All with very little effort. Wipe it on, wipe the excess off, let it sit.

My favorite is Lexol Leather Conditioner Preservative. Not dust-collecting not greasy not too glossy.

However, my '69 Bandmaster and my '73 Super-Reverb sat in my attic for over 25 years (I hung up my guitar for that time) uncovered and once I cleaned and treated the vinyl they looked as good as ever.
