I am new to this, but hope to get some ideas and learning for my passion, music! I am running a Fender 400 H Bassman amp with one 410 pro slant cabinet and one 115 pro cabinet. Is it best to hookup in a series or parallel out of the amp, or does it make a difference? :?

It is all about the impedence. You want to match your speaker impedence to the amp. So if your amp wants 8 ohms you need to make sure your speaker load is 8 ohms. Impedence in series is additive so two 8 ohm loads in series is 16 ohms. Impedence in parallel is divisive so two 8 ohm loads in parallel is 4 ohms. Here is the formulas

Series: RT = R1 + R2

Parallel: RT = (R1R2)/(R1 + R2)

OK. My amp, Fender Bassman 400H is 350 W RMS into 4 ohms. The back panel says "4 ohm min. Total 350 Watts" with parallel outputs and both speaker cabinets are 8 ohms impedence each This tells me I would be best to run the cabinets parallel (one out of each output) for 4 ohms. Make sense?? :?:
