Hi,

I bought one of these used from a studio that was in some financial hard times. I paid only $800 for it and it was worth every penny having become my main gig amp. It's very loud for 40 watts and gets a great tone with or without pedals in front. It's signed by the maker on the inside of the cab. Other than that I don't know much about it. What have you found out?

Thanks,

The chassis is lifted verbatim from the '59 Bassman re-issue (PCB wiring, no adjustable bias pot).

The OEM speakers are 4Ω Celestion V30's wired in parallel.

The cabinet is finger-jointed solid-pine construction, covered in traditional lacquered tweed.

These amps were limited-issues dating to 2002.

I was looking at a used Bass Breaker - which has it's original well used tubes.

Since the amp has no bias bot on the chassis, would you just install a fresh set of tubes and go?
