Hey guys, I have been messing with a Twin I picked up a couple months ago, a TRRI. I changed the speakers and put a 5751 in V2 with really good results. My problem had been overly bright tone. Anyway, I have read here and there about pulling V1 from two channel fender amps to change the tone on the vibrato channel. What would I expect to hear if I did? I know I could just go and try it but I wanted to discuss what exactly this would do and how the tone would be affected?

Pulling V1 merely frees up some current from the power supply that *may* manifest itself by causing earlier onset of compression and/or OD to the remaining tube array -- especially those in the vibrato channel. No harm will come to the amp so it's a risk-free experiment.
