I just got a new Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb today. Cosmetically it is near perfect. I was really impressed with Channel 1 which I always overlooked. However, when I plugged into Channel 2 there was a clicking sound that that goes up and down with the speed knob and the intensity doesn't seem very effective until about 5 1/2 setting. Is the Tremolo working probably? I have tried a few DDRI but I don't always remembering hearing this click, however most shop models don't have a foot switch out on display. The sound isn't too bad at higher volumes but under 3 it is very noticeable (annoying). I just wanted some DRRI owners to chime in. Thanks.

New or used? New, the cosmetics should be perfect.

All recent (forget when the mod was implemented) have a fix installed for the trem tick. If yours is noticably ticking, you either have on older, unmodified amp or there is a problem with the circuit. If you bought it from a dealer, take it back ASAP.

I bought it new from an online dealer. The box was opened but it said on the sticker that it was inspected before shipped out to insure quality. I got a good price because of a coupon but I'm wondering if they sent me an open box one instead of the regular one? If there is indeed a problem this will be the second problem this year as my Blue Junior III had water damage. Ugh...

So this does sound like a problem and not normal? I'm thinking of going down to a GC to see if I can find another so I have something to compare it to.

Do a search in this forum. There are many threads and posts about this. I'm not sure how effective the fix really is.

OP...BlueSky is correct, it is not right and you should send it back ASAP! Don't waste time comparing it to another one...what if it also has the problem? Just send it back and demand a new one, especially an Unopened one!

I just got home from dinner and noticed the power light isn't working. I'm defiantly going to return and ask for a working amp (non-opened).

Hopefully I can get an amp that's A.O.K.

Thanks... again. :|
