I own a 2005 410 Blues Deville Reissue, great amp, bought it new. But the reverb has always been quite weak. I played a new model in the music store recently and the reverb was set about 7-8 and it sounded great. Any suggestions on what is causing this weakness? Did Fender do any mods to this circuit for current amps? I turn the reverb on without the pedal, just turn the knob. Even set at 12 on the dial, it sounds very weak.

The reverb is op-amp driven and recovered on this amp. You may find a problem there but before jumping into your chassis, try the usual remedies such as inspecting the reverb tank and its associated wiring.

If you should find any fault with the tank you can find replacement information here at the Accutronics site. Many, if not most music stores should sell or have access to Accutronics tanks. Their tanks are a little bit more expensive than some others. They either have or used to have some kind of relationship with Hammond who used to make very good tanks.

I believe the stock tank bears the number 005039400 which I'm pretty sure translates to Accutronics number 4EB3C1B. If you are a reverb loving kinda guy you can also upgrade to a 6 spring tank and get some really deep 'verb. The Accutronics number for a six spring tank should be 9EB3C1B. The input and output impedance on the six spring tank will both be slightly higher than the stock tank but it should still work. If my numbers are incorrect I'm sure someone will correct me. I put a six spring tank into a cream board Blues Junior and it greatly improved the amount and quality of the 'verb.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
