You need the Deluxe Reverb Reissue ($849). Same 6V6 goodness as your 12-watt Princeton but much louder (22 watts), much more bottom end (12" speaker and right-sized cab for resonance), and killer tones to die for.

The Blues Deluxe Reissue is a real sleeper. A must-try before you make a move. But you must crank it a bit to experience the magic. My original at around "4" driven by a hot humbucker playing the "Key To the Highway" shuffle riff in open "A" told the entire story of American Music right there. A grind that Keith Richards would sell his last tooth for.

I agree. I've been gigging with the blues deluxe reissue for about a year now. I love the versatility of this thing. Plenty of power and great tone. Bandmates like the sound also. Great amp and easy to haul to the gigs. :D

Yeah, I know guys who thought they loved their HR Devilles both in 4-10 and 2-12 format who dumped em once they heard the warmth and 3-dimensional thumpy, dynamic soul of this little unassuming BD. It's like Something About Mary--it just JELLS!

It sounds like a Pro Reverb or Super Reverb might be worth trying :?:

I really love my 65 Twin RI...but it's an amp for playing clean only. If you get it loud enough to distort, your house will crumble around you and your internal organs will turn to Jello.

Thus the beauty of the DRRI. Its clean is even prettier and less harsh than the Twin's--still nice and glassy and sparkly, just not quite so Solid State cold as the Twin's--but crank it and the sky opens up and angels sing and trumpets herald the Second Coming. (the First was the narrow panel Deluxe)

I own and play through a 65 twin R/I (85 watts) and I absolutely love it. I also own a Blues Junior. I play an American and Standard Tele through both. I love the ability to switch from Vibrato to Reverb, you can actually set the vibrato so it's very clean and keep a bit of reverb. Using the footswitch you can switch back and forth. I don't use any effects pedals either. THIS AMP IS LOUD!!! As stated earlier, your house will crumble around you. But, it also sounds great at the vol 3 setting. It was either the 59 Bassman or the 65 Twin R/I. I went with the twin - no regrets.
Good Luck.

I saw a really small one and it was a 100watt for 150 Dollars. I tried it and it was awsome, it has like everything that you can buy built into it.
