Hello.

I currently have a Mesa Stiletto Ace, but I don't want to lug a head and 212 cab anymore. I'm looking at Supersonics, but I'm afraid there may not be enough headroom for me. For practices I usually have my Ace Head master around 11-1130, it doesn't break up, from what I've researched it seems at least the Supersonic 22 would.

My question is: Would adding a master volume (perhaps a London Power MV kit) allow me to turn the added master high and keep the vintage channel volume low to avoid breakup? Also, it should definitely work in reverse, correct? I could turn the master down and crank the vintage volume to get the pushed sound? Or, could I add a channel volume or gain to the clean side, and achieve more headroom? I'm thinking it won't work that way, but I'm not certain, so please let me know....

Thanks!

I have a Supersonic 60... Let me tell you, you'll never need another amp. That sucker is loud. I won't have the volumes up past 3 on stage or in rehearsals...

Be warned, the Supersonic 60 is about 55lbs... The cab is within a inch of same dimensions as a Fender Twin. Has a great stage presence. You'll love it!

Not exactly. The master volume will not boost your signal, you would still have a low volume if the vintage channel volume is low. The master volume would be used to be able to crank the amp volume to get distortion and then control the output volume with the master so as to get that "cranked sound" at low volume. As you noted, the reverse is what would happen.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
