Greetings all, I play a mexi strat with Fender Samarium cobalts in the neck and middle, and a SH1 Seymour Duncan Hotrail in the bridge. I have a SuperSonic 60 and I really like it alot. I've had it for about 7 months. My band plays everything from reggae and r&b to funk and metal. I dig the tone I'm getting for snappy rhythm playing but for my lead sound I'm looking to clean up the overall tone a bit. The burn channel on the amp sounds good for some of the distortion heavy lead sounds but gets muddy with too much gain but I want to use it as a 1 stage soft distortion and use pedals to get a really mean, compressed, chunky, screaming stage 2 distortion for lead. What do you guys recommend? Right now I use a Boss Blue Driver and Boss CS3 Compressor. I'm thinking about getting a TS 808 Tube Screamer and a EQ pedal? What do you think would be the best combination of pedals for screaming lead? THANKS! 8)

For leading try the Boss GE7 EQ or a Germanium boost pedal. These work nicely with my SS60.

Try putting a 5751 tube in position V3. It will drop the gain of the Burn channel by about 30%.

Sorry, I just realized you were asking for pedal recommendations. Check out the Visual Sound Jekyll & Hyde pedal.

But if you want less distortion and more crunch out of the burn channel, try the tube swap. Works great and wont hurt anything.
