Hello All,

I'd like to have a blues jr. head and was
thinking, if I took the chassis out of the
cabinet tilted it 90 degrees put it in a
new enclosure, wire a jack for the speaker.
Will I ruin or loose anything.

Thanks for any ideas or information.

Cheers.

You can experiment all day, as long as you know
your amp's impedance and Don't Drop below it.

Sounds COOOLL- 8) 8)
Good Luck
Let us know how it comes out.

Hello #1Stratman,

Oh boy, I knew this wan't gonna be straight forward.
I read a little about impedance not sure I completly
grasped it. I suppose I better school myself better on this
subject. Could it be that there are special tools I'll
need for this undertaking, possibly some sort of
impedance measuring devise?

Cheers.

I do believe what he is talking about is speaker ohms. The Blues Jr. is setup for an 8 ohm speaker, using a 16 ohm (while I still would not recommend it) is safe, however using 4 ohm or 2 ohm speaker loads could damage the amp.

I will have to find it, but somewhere on my computer is a schematic for multiple speaker wiring in parallel and series setups.

Hi Chet,

At this point I'm gonna use the factory
speaker, so maybe ther won't be any issues.
I hope.

Cheers.

Mr. Bill-

didn't mean for any alarm-
If you stay stock (not changing wiring) you'll be fine.
You can go with a different speaker- just keep the impedance the same.
You could even go with 2 speakers yielding the same load,
in this case 8 ohm.

CAFeathers is correct about what I was getting at.

Go here and download this wonderful tool
http://www.duncanamps.com/technical/impedance.html

Hello Chet,#1Stratman and All,

Things are back on track and proceding
at full steam ahead. Next week on my
day off I should complete at least Phase 1
of this project. I'll borrow my neighbors
camera and post photos. If is successful.

Cheers.
