Hi guys! Just got a new HR DeVille 2x12 and love it. However, the amp I had before had a lot of built-in effects, so I've been adding some pedals to get those effects back -- mainly, modulation effects. I also have a G-Dec 15 that I use for practice and portability. I love the way I can program the G-Dec, but, you've got to admit, it lacks that throbbing power of the Hot Rod. I've been thinking about getting the Mustang pedal and add it to the DeVille so I don't have to have a bunch of pedals on the floor and since it programs similar to the G-Dec and has presets available for download, I wondering if anyone out there has a similar configuration and can comment on it. I'm using an older Zoom in the effects loop that works okay but I have all those banks and numbers to remember what does what and perhaps the Mustang would be a lot more simpler, since its display is similar to the G-Dec which is really easy to understand. I don't put drive or reverb effects through the loop, only modulation effects -- delay, echo, chorus, flange, phaser, compessor. On the floor, I've got a Boss blues driver, a tuner pedal, and a DOD vintage fuzz. All this works fine but if the Mustang could replace all this and be easier to use, then I'd be willing to sell all the pedals in favor of just one. What do you think? Would it be worth it at $199 for the Mustang pedal?

Saff - Do you use the Mustang floor inbetween guitar and amp or put it through the Hot Rod's effects loop?

You can do either: Run through effects loop and bypass the preamp if you want to use the Mustang Floors amp and cabinet models. Run through the guitar input if you are using stomp and mod effects only and not the amp/cab models.

I run my MF through an Atomic Reactor 112, but hope to trade up soon to a Hot Rod Deville!
