I was recently able to pick up a stage 100 full stack for about 250 bucks. Seems to play ok, and wondered if there were any other folks out there who own them and play through them. Ultimately I'm going to own a nice tube amp, but for now this will suffice.

We now have a fungus amungus (among us). :o

Welcome fungus! I don't have a Stage amp, just wanted to use that line. :)

I once owned a Stage 100 DSP "mini stack". It was a good-sounding and reliable amp for three years I owned it.

Both my amp and the companion 1 x 12 extension cab had the Celestion G12T-100 speaker, which was very mid-range heavy (like most Celestion drivers). As such, the amp never had quite the high-end "sparkle" that is commonly associated with Fender amps. It was still a pretty good unit though -- it would eat a Crate half-stack for lunch and still have room to gobble up a couple of FM65R's.
