Post subject: Deluxe Reverb RI Warranty Question

Hello Forum,

I am having trouble with my cabinet in my DRRI (that I bought a month and a half ago) rattling, and am taking it in to have it checked out by a Certified Fender Amp Tech. My question is concerning the warranty. I have talked to a Fender Rep over the phone, and he referenced me to a place near where I live. He also told me to bring my receipt, but the problem is that I cannot find it at the moment. I have registered the amp through Fender's website, and the amp is still well in the warranty period. Can I bring it in to have it worked on, or do I have to have the receipt? Are there any other options?

You need the original receipt. Registering equipment on the Fender website serves no useful purpose.

From the Fender electronic products warranty:

"IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR SALES RECEIPT OR LEASE, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE COVERING YOUR LIMITED WARRANTY."

You should be able to get another copy of your receipt from the place of purchase. :idea:

Ok, thanks for the heads up before I brought in the amp. I will contact the place and see if I can have another receipt printed. Keeping my fingers crossed.
