ok the deluxe is fixed on to the deville.

been on for about an hour now and the more drive channel has a lot of static/crackling/slight popping. master volume does affect it, drive does not. i hear it in the drive channel if it turn the master passed 6 or so. do not hear it in the clean channel. wait i take that bacl at about 1 1/2hr i heard a little static/crackle on the clean channel. bais was at 62mv i kick it up to 70mv. just to make sure i took my new tubes out of the deluxe and its seems worse on cold tubes.

guess i'll start checking known problem resistors next. any thoughts.

Bad solder joints.

Didn't know there was anything in the HR Deluxe that needed fixing. Thought you were just swapping tubes.

you are correct just a tube swap from the dlx to the dlv. don't have time to mess w/ it now. just my 1st evaluation and maybe wanting a little feedback before i dive in.

Most people that come here for help follow up by posting the results of the advice they were given.

I was referring to the tube change thread. Forgot about the other one.

we're getting there but its gotta work properly 1st.

on the deluxe the crackle was pretty constant and not affected by volume pots. this is somewhat more intermediate and more noticeably on the drive/MORE DRIVE channels but does intermediately come through on the clean channel. next few days pretty busy maybe get to really taking a look this weekend.
