Would like to know how well this amp would perform not only for home practice,but small gigs at church since Christian music will be my main focus!

I owned a 15G as a "traveling amp" for a time and while it was trouble-free for the duration I had it, it sounded rather boxy in most playing environments. I think you'd find the tone of the Frontman 25R better suited to your intentions as well as having the sonic flexibility of on-board reverb and foot-switchable channel selection.
