I primarily play blues and jazz but I would also need the amp to be able to play some heavier types of music like some Van Halen or Led Zeppelin. My set-up now is an American Deluxe Strat with a Vox Valuetronix AD100VT. I have mainly been looking at moderately sized tube amps that would be easy to move around with but loud enough to gig at smaller venues.

I know this is the fender forum but if you are looking for a nice balance between tones then you can't I repeat can't go wrong with the Crate V1512. I have one and did a cheap speaker replacement and the thing is freaking versatile. I got the speaker from Warehouse Speakers. It is a Vintage 30 Clone and was like 40 bucks. For under $300 and can cover blues to Marshall rock it can't be beat.

I would take a look at the Super
Champ XD...

Good for at home playing,,, and
good for small to medium venues...

It has great versatility with 16 voices,,,
and 16 FX's...

For the moderate size you mention, and easy to move, as well as usuable for clean jazz, a Hot Rod Deluxe will surely fit your needs. You are using a 100VT, so 40 watts tube power is in your volume range.

dont let the name fool you, it is possible to get some real heavy crunch out of it too!!!!

My suggestion here would be to go out to your local Music Stores and try some out. Find the one that YOU feels fits the bill for what you are looking for.

I'm pretty sure that he is going to take all of our considerations in to account then go try them out...
