So I recently bought a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue....and absolutely love it. However, over the weekend I noticed a slight hiss (not your normal "idle" hiss) when playing notes or chords.

It's rather quiet, but I'm still hearing it. I'm by no means an expert on the electronics of an amp and the tubes and whatnot and was hoping someone could help me out here. I've included a 5 second clip where the hiss can be heard following the note being played.

Any suggestions?

Yes, so quiet that I don't hear any hiss at all. Certainly not on the clip that you provided.

While it is quiet, it's certainly noticeable. It's that hissing sound you hear following the note being played. It carries on for a second or two.

Not sure I heard the the right clip!! If it was the "Blues22" piece, there was too much distortion to hear a true note. Maybe a short clean section with chords and single notes left to ring, that might help my ears. If the hiss is only present when the amp is pushed, that is another story. Thanks, Art

I hear it. It seems to stop before the end of the clip. I'm no expert either, but it sounds like it could be a flawed cord or connection. I would first try plugging in a different cord (preferably good quality) & or guitar to see if it persists.
