About five years ago I had a Deluxe Reverb and a Blues Jnr...joined a new band and thought.."a change is as good as a holiday"...so off I went on the search.
The thing I didn't think through was that in order to successfully search...you must know what it is that you seek.
To the best of my recollection I went through a Vox AC30 1 x 12,a hardwired AC30,Handwired AC15, two AC15c1's,two Orange Dual terrors,1 x tiny terror,2 x VOX night trains,a Peavey Classic 50 and 30,a Princeton reverb reissue,a supersonic 60 and a CVR (Im pretty sure thats it...oooops...I forgot the Deville and Hot Rod Deluxe....Im now happy with what I have....A Deluxe Reverb and a Blues Jnr 111.......Im not sure what it all means

It means that no matter where you go, there you are.

What does it all mean?...you were smarter than you thought you were :!: Sometimes you have to go down that dark tunnel to get the otherside to find you let your brain over rule your heart and as we all know that is where the music comes from.

Or maybe we are all just tone crazy idiots :?: ...Nah, they couldn't possibly be it.

FWIW, I was going to say the exact same thing and it would have been in the same place your post is. When I just read your post my eyes bugged out. I experience a lot of synchronous type of happenings. This one stands out.

I started with a Fender amp some forty-seven years ago, with nearly a dozen blackfaces and silverfaces passing through my hands during my first decade as a guitarist. Subsequently I made a few excursions to "Sunn City", "Marshallville", even a Vox Super Beatle. But when I grew bored with trying to be 'trendy', I came back to Fender. And stayed. I've been fortunate to have had very good luck with them.

:? And being the fickle fool that I am, I still search. However, the search now is usually within the Fender realm.

Yes, but you need an ABCDEFGHIJ/Y switch to use them all, and the setup for a show takes forever.

I'm interested in why you have both a Deluxe Reverb AND a Blues Jr. I have a DRRI and am considering adding a Blues Jr.. just looking for a way to justify having both...

Just curious what your feeling was about just the tone quality of the SuperSonic vs. the Deluxe Reverb?

I have a deluxe reverb and a Blues jnr because i like both amps...in some venues, the smaller and lighter amp is the go...in most cases I will use the Deluxe REverb...having had amps die on me during shows,I like to have a back up.
I havent tried the SS 22 watt mate...I had the 60 Watt...what a lovely beast...but theres something about the DRRI that kept calling me back...cheers...the Blues Jnr is a great amp as well
