I bought an original CT quite a few years ago & when I used it, it had what I later found out was "tube rattle". I remember getting a notice, at the time, that it was a factory 'defect" & Fender had a kit that I could've have the Fender rep install, but never got around to carrying the amp in. Question is, does anyone know if Fender still has these kits available? At the time they were free, but I'm sure I'd have to pay now, which don't mind that. Just decided I would dig out the amp & fix it & give it another try.
Reckon I get a response from Fender if I went through "contact us"?

It could be the base is loose from the glass envelope. A bit of high temp silicone seal, right between base and glass, may do the trick.
