hi peeps, im looking at giving my blues deluxe a clear coat of some sorts to give the tweed a bit of protection and stop the moss growing on it ( been raining more than usual so the humidity has been extreemly high)

any tips or tricks to do this, I want to keep the origional colour if possible, im not interested in making it darker for that vintage look like some people do...

Might want to check TDPRI. There are a number of threads in the amp forums there about lacquring tweed. Never seen much about it here.

Shellac in a can
It comes in clear or Amber tint, don't use a foam brush, it will melt !

Bullseye is the brand if I remember correctly.

I did a 5E3 clone (tweed deluxe) and it looked very nice ! three coats of the amber tint gave it an amber glow and aged it 50 years (very cool) !
