I think my thread got hijacked. Who cares about tubes? JJ vs GT vs whatever?

I just wanted to share my joy of owning an amp. Thought others would like to see this limited edition because I've never seen a pic of these anywhere on the internet.

I'm in the market for tweed, bluesy amp and do appreciate your sharing your pleasure. Do you think it's too much amp for home use???

I live in an apartment and haven't had any complaints except from my wife :)

It's a master volume amp so you can always get the OD you need at lower volume. Yes it can be loud but very mangeable. I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger - better hurry before they are gone.

Keep us posted should you purchase one.

Take care.

I did get joy from your posting. I also appreciate the quality control the bluesky gives us here. Owning a tube amp is a brand new experience for me. I am not an electronics geek, but I do possess a fair intellect. Disinfo, however innocent, is a hindrance to my learning curve. Tubes got introduced and then there needed to be some clean up. A dirty job, but bluesky does a great job, IMO.

I offer my condolences on your hijacked thread and congrats on your beautiful collectors amp.

Love IT! Cool looking amp. I thought about the white chicken knobs myself on my BDRI, but wasn't sure what they would look like. They do look cool though. Do you think it would make it easier or harder to see the settings on a dark stage? It is already hard to see the settings when light hits the faceplate. White would seem to show up better with low lighting. Or maybe some glow-in-the-dark ones?

I agree the white knobs should show up better under low light conditions. My knobs are original Fender cream colored knobs.

Purchased mine at: http://angela.com/search.aspx?find=chicken-head

Glow in the dark would look very cool at night but might look funny during the day because they have a green tint to them.

Thanks for the compliment and post some pics once you decide.

Take care !!!
