I've been using this amp for about 2-3 years now and I really do love it, its incredible what it is capable of. HOWEVER! for the life of me I can't figure out how to get this amp in golden condition to be able to play hardcore/metal. PLEASE someone help me out here. I've tried everything from even using a metalzone guitar pedal but what I've noticed is as soon as I start using a pedal it seems to bring down the volume to the amp. Through the effects loop I'm using a MXR M108 10-Band Graphic Equalizer Pedal which helps bringing the sound of the distortion from the cybertwin to be a little crunchier and metal sounding. I'm willing to change around my setup completely for this change to whatever is needed to be done. Right now I'm bringing my Ibanez guitar right to the amp and the effects processor I'm using the mxr equalizer. I'm thinking this amp is so versatile it shouldn't even need the equalizer. I've tried all the different patch websites out there and I don't use any of the setting because it seems to be crap. I have my effects using the backwards delay (turned off), for some reason the amp seems to be so much louder and heavier when its using this effect (not using it, but having it selected) Maybe there is somethign wrong with my amp or something? I noticed when I put in more than one effect using the effects loop the sound goes down drastically.. anyways..

If anyone can help me out getting a hardcore/metal sound (like Unearth, As I lay Dying, Living Sacrifice)

and or also if someone could give me a local Fender know it all around the Rhode Island area to talk to about everything.. main thing first though, any advice to turn this amp into a heavy crunching metal sound while keeping it brutally loud and in your face. Let me know.. I'm really looking forward to the advice anyone has..

Just a suggestion.
I'd try a Modern amp type, HMB or Hot Rod post dist. drive type, Razors edge timbre, some compression and noise gate and keep the mids down.
That said, I think you may have a hard time getting a good modern metal tone from the cyber twin.
