That's good to hear. I figured it won't sound as good as quality analog stuff. I mainly figured that it would sound as good as the onboard effects of the x2 which I like well enough but with more flexibility for spur of the mo tweaks, and then as a standalone practice unit tat I can use with headphones at 5am. For live and recording prolly stick to the quality components.

That's cool. My prediction is that Fender is going to release something soon that is a Tube amp with digital modeling and effects that is more gig friendly, something with a floorboard that allows to switch between multiple presets easily.

Just a hunch, but it seems like a logical next step.

I've got to say, I've now had this thing a few days... and I love it more each time I play it.

In fact, I could just play the blues all day with this thing.

My new favorite thing to do with it is to set it up so that when I am playing through my strat neck pickup it stays clean-ish when I play soft but the louder I play the more overdrive is present. It is nice and responsive to your playing dynamics.

I could play this thing all day. Too much fun.

Hey Mike!

Thanks for the review.

Now that you had your Greta even longer, what do you think?
Still a novelty?

Did you get a chance to swap the tubes?

I actually got 2 Gretas in 2013, one new and another I got used since it was sold with the Greta Cab.
One has 2 x 12AX7 to get nice saturation at even lower volumes. I have also changed the knobs for som red and gold ones which makes her look even classier.

I have mic'ed the internal speaker for recordings and put through it's paces with larger cabs. It's one of the most used amps I own.
I would probably never gig it, but for home and recording it's hard to beat.

My 2nd Greta actually has 2 x 12AT7 to allow for greater headroom, which means clean sounds at higher volumes. Real nice and glassy.
So, basically a clean Greta and a dirty one. :D

Anyway, I'd love to hear what you think after all this time.
