Hey there, I have a Fender Stage Lead II that I have owned for years. I used to play out with it but haven't used it for that in probably 20 years. It primarily sits in my music room on an amp stand and I turn it on every so often and play through it for a bit.
I have never had any problems with it what so ever until I turned it on today.
I saw the red light come on but I had no sound, looking again I saw that the red light was out.
I checked the primary fuse and it was blown so I put another one in it and it blew that one immediately (both fuses were blackened inside). As I said, I have never had any issues with this amp and I don't smell anything hot, also I pulled the electronics assembly out of it and nothing looks melted.
I was on the verge of cleaning this amp up so I could sell it this weekend and now it sits here dead.
I have seen them online used, pretty cheap. So I hate the thought of having to sink a bunch of money into it. Nor, do I want to junk it because it's in pretty nice shape. Any info or help in what to look for or a course of action would be so greatly appreciated. I have my eye on another amp that won't be around for long and I need to sell this one and an old Dean Markley that I have kicking around so I can make this other deal happen. Thanks, tuneman

Original parts might be hard to find but I'm guessing either a board component or faulty transformer.

Power transformer are rarely a problem if fuse was the good size. Output transistors could be defective.
A good tech can see the problem.

Sorry I cant be of more help but if it were me, I'd run it by a tech and have them take a quick look. Maybe you'll get lucky and it's a fairly simple fix, or not. At least you'll know.
