Hi there, i'm walter, from the netherlands, new here, and hope to find some answers.. ;-)
I'm planning to add connections for external speakers to my princeton chorus amp.
Does anybody know the output impedance of this amp?
Its a SS amp, and mostly they have 4 to 16 ohm output ability as far as i know.
The princeton chorus is a stereo amp, has two 8 ohm speakers, so an added stereo cabinet with two 8 ohm in serial will result in 4 ohm per output"channel".
If i add two jacksockets between the speakers and the amp i guess that's pretty much it...
that is.... when the output impedance is able to handle 4 ohm , otherwise it's gettin' to hot in the kitchen ;-)
Hope to get some feedback on this one, thanx !!

I suggest that you take a course in remedial math as it relates to Ohm's Law.

A pair of 8Ω speakers wired in series yield a total load of sixteen ohms.

I'd also admonish you not to tamper with the speaker complement in the amp. It hasn't been made in some fifteen years now and if you blow it up you'll find it difficult if not impossible to find parts with which to repair it.

Good luck though.

Arjay
