Bought this used but in great shape. It regularly cuts out without any predictability. I tried plugging in the power amp section with no sound ther either. The power light remains on. Any idea how to troubleshoot further? Temperature does not seem to be a factor

Hi ashulman,

You might have a loose connection somewhere, such as a faulty solder joint. Since you plugged directly into power amp section, you can start there as this bypasses the preamp. It's worth looking at all solder joints while you are at it.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

WHICH Frontman? There are several. You're gonna need a schematic.

Here's the schematic:

Seems most likely that the problem is in the power amp so I would suggest you follow shimmilou's advice. Most of us here work on tube amps only as the solid state amps are difficult to work on and parts may not be available. If you don't know how to read a schematic or are unfamiliar with basic troubleshooting methods, then I suggest you take the amp to a Fender authorized service center or a local amp tech if one is available.
