Hi there,

I am new in the community and not from the US so if you notice spelling mistakes, please just ignore them. Thanks.

So I want to buy a Fender Blues Junior III, and some amps in the same price range or even cheaper have the FX loop built in, so i would like to ask you guys, if i can connect my guitar in the following order:
Guitar, distortion/overdrive, modulation, delay fender Blues Junior.

Main question is, will i lose the qualities of the Blues Junior ( tone, response, etc. ).

Thanks.

Dan

If all of your stompboxes have true bypass capability and you use quality patch cords, you should have only minimal tone degradation (if any) at the amp. That said, you may have to experiment with the order of precedence for your pedal effects to see what array works the best with your particular guitar and amp.

Arjay thank you,

There is not much, a fender classic series, a ts9, optional a boss ge7, a English Muffin, a chorus or tremolo and a delay. According to that i do not think it would have a big ( negative ) influence on the tone.

Thanks again.

Probably not.

Those are all quality pedals -- I think you'll be fine.

For my use, a loop is only advantageous if it can be switched off with a pedal. There might be some sonic advantages to having some effects post preamp, but I prefer guitar and amp without effects anyway. It seems that most/all of the guys that use vintage amps get along just fine without a loop. I only use the preamp out on the loops of my amps for a tuner. I use my BJr with no effects, which I used to use to cover for sloppy playing. Now I just accept my sloppy playing.....  Actually, since I've gotten better, I enjoy the more pure sound of amp and guitar alone.

+1

The only modern amp "convenience" that I enjoy is channel-switching capability and that's easily added via a pedal.
