Hello community...
I have on my bench a Fender roc-pro 700 with a bad power transformer.. I have the export series trafo cause I live in 220v... Part number 039357..
I have downloaded the schematic of the roc-pro and can't see the info regarding the specs on the power transformer.. Can some post here the specs or send me a mail..
I have a good trafo guy here that can rewind the trafo but i need the info on it..
Thank You

Hi pablobolche,

A good transformer guy that can rewind one should be able to do so with the schematic and the existing transformer. Not sure what "specs" that you need that aren't on the schematic (voltages and connections listed), but this might be your best bet for any more info needed. Of course you would have to specify what other info that you need.

Probably need the output voltage at the secondary and how the winding look ?

No transfo sketch ont the shematic but it look the power transformer secondary send 30 volts AC with a center tap to rectifier diodes

IMO it is a 220 volts primary and 30 volts with center tap secondary.

Thanks for the answers.. yeah I saw the two 30v windings but the tranformer has 5 aditional cables coming out of it and coneccting to the pcb.. and these I can't see any voltages on the schematic or board... that really the info I need.. if anyone cares to chime in..
Thanks again

Check the schematic for the primary connections, the voltages and connection terminals are clearly shown. The five leads, Black/Red, Black/Green, Black/Yellow, Black and White, are to connect the primary to the appropriate terminals for either 100 volt or 230 volt electrical outlet. The two leads, Violet and White/Violet, are for the transformer's internal overload protection, and these two leads connect to the circuit to interrupt input voltage if the transformer draws too much current, and is in addition to the fuse and thermistor protection in the amp. Contact Fender if more info is needed.

Really, if you are only going to use 230 volts for the primary, you don't need all of those wires. Simply ask your transformer guy to give you a 230 volt primary and a 30 volt center-tapped secondary. The internal transformer protection isn't necessary if the transformer is well made. IMO, the amp's fuse and thermistor is protection enough, and the internal protection on the existing transformer hints at a lower quality transformer. Of course if you do change the transformer wires as mentioned, you would have to figure out how to connect it, which shouldn't be a problem and someone here could easily figure out how.
