I have had my beloved Fender Princeton Reissue for 3-4 years now and was away for a couple of months. I just got back home turned it on and after about 5-6 minutes playing I smell a heated/melted plastic coming from the amp.

I switch it off and now the tremolo isn't working at all (neither Speed nor Intensity). Reverb works fine and the amp sounds as it has always been but no tremolo :(

Please help me!!!!

PS: No one has even touched my amp during this time.

Unless you are trained in electronics, you should take the amp to a reputable and competent tech for repair (if under warranty, any authorized Fender service center can help you). There are no user-serviceable parts within the chassis but the voltage there will kill or injure the unwary.

The Princeton Reverb's tremolo circuit is integral to the idle-bias system for the power tubes. Thus, a trem problem will often mask a more significant issue within the amp's output stage. A "heated/melted plastic" odor may be the insulation of a HV line from the power supply melting because the wire is exceeding its current-carrying capacity.

That sounds bad :(

I wonder why all of a sudden this has happened. Last time I played it it was fine.

It is 4 years old so warranty is void now :(

New Fender amps sold in the USA are warrantied for five years.
