hi i was wondering about using my frontman as a 2X12 speaker cab for my bjr. 8)

i was planning on selling the frontman but then thought it would be cool to toss the amp and just use the 2X12 speakers and the blues jr as a head for when i want more power and volume

does anyone know if this is possible and how to go about doing it?

any help is appreciated
thanks!

The Frontman 212R uses two 8-ohm speakers wired in parallel for a total load of 4 ohms. The BJr uses one 8-ohm speaker. This may or may not work or sound good due to the impedance mismatch.

Disconnect the two wires connected to the speakers from the Frontman amp (one white positive [+], one black negative [-], noting polarity). Wire a jack to the speaker terminals where the two wires were connected to the speakers, positive [+] speaker terminal to jack tip, negative [-] speaker terminal to jack sleeve. Unplug the BJr speaker from the amp's speaker jack and connect the new 2x12 jack to the BJr amp with a speaker cable. The BJr is perfectly capable of running a 4 ohm or 16 ohm cab with no danger of damage to amp or speakers. The danger is in getting a loose connection on your new jack, so be sure to do a good job soldering and mount the jack to the speaker cab so as not to yank a connection loose.
