Hey all,

First off many thanks to all the help as a lurker, now have a question I can't find an answer to..

Have a 93 Blues Deville 410 that I've had for years and love. Did a recap recently and noticed that the PCB trace at v2 from both pin 5 and 6 to the ribbon cable is "scratched".. definitely intentional; Mabey a stupid question but would this be something done at the factory? Mabey a mod the PO did?

Love the tone and no issues.. just curious, like to jump them if it's not sop for the amp and see what it does but dont want to blow anything if it is.

Thanks - Lou

According to the schematic:

http://support.fender.com/schematics/gu ... ematic.pdf

pin 5 is one side of the heater and should be connected to pin 4 on V2. Pin 6 is the plate of V2B. V2B is not used in the amp.

Thanks Bill,

Double checked my posting, it's actually pin 6 and 7...

When you say it is not used, does that mean they would scratch the pcb to do this?

Pin 7 is the grid of V2B.

I have no idea why the PCB would be scratched, but you definitely should not try and jumper the scratches.
