Need some help on my buddies Cyber Twin that shuts off after about 45-90 minutes of playing. Seems that it is over heating and shutting itself off. Is there any way to fix this problem? If so what's the fix and what could be the cause of this?

Thanks
Mike

6L6GC idle bias and anode plate voltages?

Proper impedance speaker setup?

Thanks!

This is my first solid/valve state amp I'm working on.. What I a safe or would be the beginning/cold value for these types of amps? This way I can use it as a starting point. And as for the speakers, they haven't ever been messed with so they still are factory set.

How's it going, Mike......you still at Ft. Bliss?

Your CT problem needs Tony Houston's or Johnny Static's expertise......they're really the guru's when it comes to troubleshooting those critters. P'raps they'll be along soon.

Great to see you back on the forum again.

Rawk on!

Ciber Twin output are chips . U 27A and U 27 B some 4560 chips .

This kind of amp with fews PCB , chips and only few preamp tubes ; Only a good tech could work in that.

Doing pretty good thanks! Just banging my head against the wall over this amp.. I'm no longer in El Paso.. I'm home for a spell then I'm headed to the dessert.. I hope I can get this amp done before I head out. Need help.. On the hotrod amp this summer, it was much simpler than all of us putting our brains together came up with. The wires from the transformer were coming in contact with the back panel and it was making the amp get a crackle sound.. Haha!! On this one is a heat issue and it shuts off and I'm not one to get stumped.. Haven't yet!

Wear your kevlar, Mike......you're too young for a toe tag.

Stay safe, troop!
