Hi,

I was wondering if I can use my hot rod deville 410 as a cab, my tube head is 50 watts and has (2) 8 ohm and (1) 16 ohm.

Thanks in advance!

Yes.
1) Unplug the speaker plug from the HRDvl amp jack.
2) Insert said speaker plug into one of the 8 ohm jacks of the head.
3) Rock!

What Shimi said! I was going to but one of these that had the chassis removed, and use it for a cabinet, but my heads need a 4ohm load, so I passed. Should work great for your purposes.

Thanks, guys! Stupid question, does the amp have to be on or in standby or does it just have to be plugged in?

Thanks!

Once the speakers are disconnected from the HRDvl, no need for the HRDvl to even be plugged into electricity, you are no longer using that amp. In case you are unaware, do not use a tube amp without a speaker/speakers connected.
