I just got a used blues jr. It is about 5 yrs old. The previous owner put Groove Tubes in it about a year ago. With the factory-hot bias, how long can I expect to get out of a set of tubes? Opinions appreciated!

Thanks,
Geoff

Much of that will depend on how much you use it and how well you take care of it. It's not that cut and dried.

I was wondering if you would share what you paid for your Blues Jr? I have an opportunity to buy a Corona manufactured one and wondered if it was worth what the owner is asking for it. (250.00 )
Thanks,

Corona or not, $250 is a great price for a Blues Junior. The old green board BJrs have a few problems with reverb noise (a simple mod) and if it's been played hard, some solder joints may require touch-up. Heat and vibration can crack them. It's an easy repair.

I paid $300 for mine, with the cover and footswitch. It is in really good shape, and sounds great!
