Hey, I have a fender blues deluxe reissue. Had it for just over a year gigged it plenty and no problems it's a great amp. But I take it to practice one day and it just doesn't turn on. No red light, no noise, nothing. Could anyone help me with what could be causing this problem? Cheers, sy

I'm going to hazard a guess and say this sounds like a blown fuse. Looking at the back of your amp there is a small black 'knob' just to the right of your power cable. You should be able to unscrew this and remove the fuse. If the fuse is blackened on the inside or the wire inside the glass is broken, that would be a problem. Replace it with the same value of fuse and you should be good to go. This may have been caused by a voltage spike in a janky power supply or may point to some other issue with the amp itself (but it's unlikely given the newness of the amp).

Rock!

Cheers! This makes a lot of sense. Where can I find an appropriate fuse to replace it?

Looks like it's a 3A 250 volt fuse, but I would double check this against the actual fuse you remove from your amp. There should be some faint inscription on the fuse around the silver cap edge that has the value recorded. I'm not sure where you are located, but RadioShack (boo) or Mouser.com for replacement electronic parts.

If this is in fact an issue with a blown fuse, and you blow another fuse there is something else afoot and this would require some further investigation.

Good luck!

It says 6a 250v on the back of the amp so I'm guessing that's what it will be. I'm located Manchester uk. Il check those sites out

Hope that works out. If you pull the fuse and it looks anything like this then the fuse is blown :

Let me know how it goes.

Yeah my fuse looks fine but I have a friend with the same amp and had the same problem. She had to change her fuse but the fuse looked fine so I'm hoping the case is the same with my amp. Only a few quid for a fuse. Think I'm going up take it in to the repair shop anyway make sure like you said, there isn't anything else causing it seems that I'm planning on selling the amp

No, that is 1.6A 250V. Huge difference!
