Have a pro tube twin. 2-questions? Middle control on gain side broke off in shipping. How much should it cost to repair? Would anyone recommend a speaker upgrade? Looking for that Clapton Crossroads sound from the 57 twin.

It shouldn't cost anything if you file a successful claim against the shipping company.

Is this your amp:

What broke, just the knob or did the pot shaft itself break off? The amp had to be handled pretty rough in shiping or was poorly packed for a control knob to break off. I would get the entire amp checked out by a good amp tech.

I doubt you'll ever get that amp to sound like a 57 Twin without putting some sort of OD pedal in front of it.
