Hello,
I am attempting to recreate the tone of Warren Haynes playing a Les Paul in The Sky is Crying with the Allman Brothers Band at the Orpheum Theater. Having a Blues Jr, I was hoping an officionado might be able to suggest the settings for my amp that would come closest to duplicating the sound. Also any ideas on pedals that might have been used. Thanks for any help, again it may be too much to ask!!!

Wow! Lots of options.
Have you tried the Maxon OD808 Overdrive Pedal.
Has great cleans as well as all the inbetweens.

Howdy Toppscore,
I never really appreciated the Allman Brothers Band, what a shame and loss of time. This particular video, I find amazing. I haven't used pedals yet. Really haven't learned the amp settings well. Found a list of setting for the Jr. and it is mostly for strats and teles. But has a great variety of sounds. I just wanted someone who knows how to play and knows the amp to maybe lend a hand. Eventually I will get a OD, there are so many. You obviously like the Maxon, I will put it at the top of the list and give it a listen.
I guess I should add what would the most likely guitar tone control settings be? I put good caps in my LP but since I keep it at 10 most of the time I am cutting out their influence and I want the LP to sing!!!
Appreciate your time Sir!
Glenn

There are a variety of "typical standard usual normal pedals"
you can get to experiment with:
Chorus Delay Over-Drive are good ones.

Then, once you know what you enjoy or use,
invest in better or more dedicated pedals
or pedal boards or pedals with more features.

Also, a lot of guitarist like to affect the signal before
it gets to the amp. But, some amps have built-in effects.
I believe with amps & pedals & guitar tone settings & pickups
and the pickup selector's selections, you can get a lot of tones.
Have fun trying. Toppscore :)

Thanks for the information and your time! I know there are a ton of pedal types, that is why I have stayed away from them. Have enough trouble with playing and the amp settings. Figured an overdrive would probably be the first. We shall see!
