I have a peavey XXL I put up for trade on CL. I already have a 1995 Blues Deville, and really don't need the Peavey. Somebody ofered me a blues jr iii for it. I figure I'd ask here if you guys think it's a worthwhile trade. I just don't know if I feel it is an equal trade, blues jr.iii is a way smaller amp, however it would work for me for a practice amp. Just not sure :?: :?: :?:

Why not sell the PeeWee outright, table the proceeds temporarily, and think about what you'd really like to do with the money?

Gnome saing, mon?

Hey Arjay...I have it for sale or trade, I'm still going to pickup that Bassman this week, just figured I'd see what's out there for trade on the Peavey, f something came along that was fair enough. I don't think I'll trade it for a blues jr. I just threw it out there to see what happened.

Post some pics of that Bassman if/when you decide to bring it home.

An old friend of mine out in the bay area just scored a real nice mid '70s Deluxe Reverb. As soon as his amp tech checks it out and gives it his blessing he'll be gigging with it regularly.

Consider those same prophylactic measures for your Bassman (or any vintage amp you may end up owning).

I will do that, Haven't made the time to do the deal yet, had a roof leak to repair, and with a hurricane possibly on the way, it took precedence. I plan to shoot you a few pics when/if it comes home.
Looks like a 70'S Super twin just went up for sale today also a '66 bandmaster head...around the same price, but I'm still kind of shopping around I guess. I'm not in a huge rush.

Trust me -- you want no part of that.

To try to land a Blues Jr right after getting a Bassman would be absurd.

My advice:
1) Get money for your amp.
2) Put the money towards cutting any losses on the new amp.
3) Thank yourself.

Yes this is the plan, already set aside the money for the bassman, I don't really want the cabinet it is being sold with(Hartke 4x12) So I will sell that cabinet off, and probably sell the Peavey and look for a proper cabinet for the bassman. Thanks for the advice.

I think "Arnold" will soon be joining the Brotherhood Of The Bandmaster as well.
