Thanks guys. :P I ordered the Bigshot this morning and cant wait to play with all those possible tones. :D My Jan Phillips NOS 5751 I ordered showed up today and I think Ill put it V1 in order to darken the normal channel a bit and play with my Tungsols and Sovteks in the vibrato channel for a mix of slight deep with the brightness over there. I'm really excited about this. The opportunity of so many tone possibilities without tone suck from cheap $@! effects pedal.

I think you'll have a ball exploring all of the available options, Gary.

Rawk on!

If you get yourself an acoustic guitar simulator you can play both of Martin Barre's guitar parts to "Aqualung" on a single guitar/amp rig using only a few taps of the foot.

Or I can mic my acoustic through the amp into Presonus/Studio One!

Sitting on a park bench.
Eying little girls with bad intent.
Snot is running down his nose.
Greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.

Hard to believe after over 40 years I still know those lyrics. :P

Mil-spec JAN from April of '85.

As "Ol' Blue Eyes" opined, it was a very good year.

Congrats!

Yep Gary, you made a good move ordering the Radial. I picked one up a while ago, on Arjay's recommendation. Use it on a Bassman, because the bass channel is also out of phase(one extra gain stage) with the normal channel. BTTW The Bassman also has a 5751 in that extra slot. Have Fun!!! Art

I don't know what's going on, but I haven't seen anything that made me even think I found a better tone. Either my rig is dialed in almost to perfection, or pedals suck. Or I'm old.

Don't forget stupid.

I'm going Plain Jane. No matter what I do, I like my rig without pedals.

I like that idea. But then you kinda need a different amp for various situations. But then, most of us would gladly build an addition on the house to keep them all in. :D
