I'm really hot...Almost on fire...
I'm standing in front of my PC screen ready to push 'Add to cart" for a new Blues Junior.
So I have these 2 choices
1) Fender Blues Junior III with Fender Lightning Bolt by Eminence
or
2) Fender Blues Junior III "Silver Noir Two-Tone" FSR, limited Run with Eminence Wizard 8 ohms speaker.

The price difference is minimal (45 euros) so I wonder, should I go for the classic or the FSR.
I know that an FSR item would have better resale value but the "british-tone" speaker of this FSR got me wondering.
Does anyone have any experience with both the "Lighting Bolt" and the "Wizard"? I don't want a Marshall-y sound but I've read that the Wizard has better lows.
Please help.

During the time my navy blue FSR BlJr was on repair I borrowed an regular one with the Lightning Bolt speaker. I think they've had that amplifier for a while, so the speaker was broken in. But that particular one sounded amazing. But as I said, I think it was the fact that the speaker was broken in.

I have no idea on the Silver Noir FSR though.

Alex. Did you get a chance to play any of the Fender Hot Rod Junior III amps
and compare with the Blues Junior III amps? PLMK if you did. Thanks. Toppscore 8)

No, there is no such thing as a "Hot Rod Junior".

The BJr is just one of the amps in the Hot Rod series of amps. This series includes Blues Deluxe and Deville, Hot Rod Deluxe and Deville, Blues Junior and Pro Junior. The BJr comes in a few different flavors, and has been revised over the years. Read all about BJr here:

BTW, congrats, and be sure to post a pic and review when you receive your amp.

Thanks. I will :)

By the way, what do you think is the best way of breaking-in the new speaker?
Hard and loud or at lower volumes?

Mix it up, low for awhile, then loud for awhile. Whatever your neighbors can stand.

Fender Makes a Hot Rod Pro Junior III at a similar
low-end price around $400. Thought you might see them side by side & check them out.
I'm looking at those two amps, just wondering. Toppscore :)

I have the amp for 2 days now and so far I'm lovin' it.
Some eye-candy...

Valves say "Made In Russia" in front and "Groove Tubes" on the back. I guess it's kinda better than the Chinese. The EL84s have a marking of "5" handwritten on the back.

That's sweet looking. If the speaker is too harsh you can always put in a Swamp Thang. This amp loves the swamp than.
Check out the billm mods. They turn a good amp into a great amp.
