In June 2012 I purchased my first tube amp.
Been playing JC-120's & Line 6 Amps forever.
It was time to "grow up" & "take the plunge".
I bought a Fender Twin. (100/25 watt model)
The serial number is: CR-308219
What year is my amp ?
Is the warranty transferable ?
Thanks.

"All Fender amplifiers manufactured from 1990 to the present include a date code, printed on the quality assurance (QA) sticker on the back of the amp chassis. This black-and-silver sticker contains several lines for “sign-offs” on completion of sound and electrical testing. The final line contains a date code of two printed or handwritten letters denoting the amplifier’s production date by year (the first letter) and month (the second letter)."

So you need to look for that sticker, not the serial number.

"Fender® electronic products are covered from defects in parts and workmanship if used under normal operating conditions for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase FENDER_5-YEAR_ELECTRONIC_PRODUCTS_WARRANTY. To take advantage of the 5-year transferable warranty, the original purchaser must endorse the sale of the product to the new owner on the original sales receipt. The duration of the transferred warranty will be the balance of time remaining up to five years from the original date of purchase of the product. Footswitches, covers, speakers, cabinets, handles and cabinet hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase."

There have been 4 different versions of the 100/25 watt Twins. "The Twin", "Twin Amp" (no vibrato), redesigned "Twin Amp" (with vibrato), and the current "Super-Sonic Twin". The first two are long past their warranty period. Some of the redesigned "Twin Amps" are still covered, as are the Super-Sonic Twins (if you have the original receipt signed over to you).

If you can't find the date code or the inspection sticker, you can contact Fender with the serial number, and they might be able to tell you when/where the amp was made.
