Nothing but hype IMO.

+1 a Sig Speaker  It too EJ years to perfect his sound with all kinds of voodoo tricks. Certain kinds of cables, wood blocks isolating pedals only certain kinds if this and that, take the trem cover off. He's an incredible player but it seems like it's just an endorsement deal. Especially of after all that he only had to change out his speakers.

This is so funny, it hurts.

It took Johnson years to master his "tone." But you can get it by buying one speaker? I mean... a 979 Carrera-GT in the hands of an idiot, will still end up being a "Sunday Driver." No?

Gonna see EJ in August... Can't wait!

If you want to replace your speakers it's gonna cost you a few bucks for some good JBLs or Celestions anyway. The last video I saw of Eric Johnson playing, he used an old Marshall Cab with what I have to assume are Celestion Greenbacks (not cheap speakers). I tend to live with whatever comes stock in all the amps I own, and they seem to sound fine after the initial "break-in" phase, and only seem to sound better with time anyway....Speaker swapping always seemed like a tricky proposition at best to me (shelling out some good green for something that only MIGHT improve the sound and then ripping them out and buying some new speakers in hope that THEY will work better than the last?)...but, that's just me. If they aren't blown out I just don't see the point in replacing them. BTW: I am not the biggest fan of Eminence speakers either....I sold the 2 amps I owned that had em a while back. I have a HRDLX III and the stock Celestion is just fine.
