Hello,
I have a Fender Princeton Chorus that I got about ten years ago or so. Recently it suffered an accident and the cabinet was smashe in from the top leaving the amplifier itself useless, now I only have a cabinet and the speakers and would like to replace the amplifier. I've been looking for either a replacement part for it or a separate head unit. However, I'm having no luck finding any replacement in Ebay, Craigslist or alike sites. I've been looking at only head units so I can use my speaker cabinet, but are too expensive, in the $300 range.

Does anybody know where I can find a replacement for the amplifier itself, I suppose it doesn't even have to be the same model, just something that is comparable and won't break the bank. The other option would be a separate head unit.

Any pointers, are greatly appreciated!

I don't understand. You said the cabinet was smashed in from the top destroying the amp, but you still want to use the cabinet?

For $300 just throw the old cab away and buy a whole new combo amp.

Sorry, I meant the electrical part of the cabinet is totally destroyed, and also looking for a cheap replacement I can use somthing in the $100 range. I meant to write that so far I have found replacements in the $300 range, so those won't work for me.

That's the amp chassis. If the amp chassis is smashed, then the cabinet is smashed. Just throw it away and buy a whole new amp.

The wood cabinet is salvageable but the metal amp chassis was destroyed. Ok. If you say so. Unless you can find someone on E-Bay or Craigslist that has parted out this amp (doubtful) you are out of luck. Last time: throw it away and buy a new amp. Good luck. I'm done.

C'mon, Bill......think outside the box.

You can't hold the OP responsible for this disaster because his little brother rolled his Big Wheel over the chassis while he had the amp disassembled on the floor of mom's basement in order to swap out the grill cloth for that glow-in-the-dark "death metal" stuff that Dimebag used on his stage rigs.
