I recently replace the preamp tubes on my Hot Rod Deluxe to cut the volume a little and when done I noticed the reverb was gone....as in no reverb. What could I have done or what could have possibly happened ?

Might have gotten a bad tube(s). Just to be sure, you put the correct tubes into the correct sockets? And none got bent pins?

The Hot Rod Deluxe uses integrated circuits as the driver and receiver for the reverb circuit, not tubes. If you are still getting sound in the clean/drive/more drive channels, but no reverb, it is not because you changed tubes. What else did you do when you changed out the tubes?

Check your tank and cabling. My reverb died with the amp merely sitting in my living room, un-plugged. It turned out to be the tank itself that had gone south.

No all I did was change the preamp tubes from 12AX7 to 12AT7. I was thinking maybe I hit a wire etc. while swapping them out...I noticed no reverb the first time I turned it on..From what you guys say it could possibly just be a coincidence that it went out. This is my first attempt at even changing tubes so I'm in the dark pretty much..Whats an easy way to figure out if its the tank or another problem ?...Thanks

The easiest way is to check the tank and cables for continuity using a DVM. The cables should read as a dead short of course, while the tank should offer some token resistance -- say 200 to 300 ohms.

Roger, have you had a look in the reverb tank yet and checked the connections: the cables have a tendency to just work loose sometimes and you can push them back in place if I remember rightly.
