I have a Hot Rod Deville 410 and tonight I was playing it and everything was normal and then I took a break, came back to play afterwards and my input 1 was very quiet on the clean channel. I could crank it to 6 (which is LOUD on a Deville) and it would be at a low bedroom level volume. Then, I turned the drive channel on and it's normal and very loud and then I plugged it into input 2 to see if it was doing it also and input 2 works perfectly fine in both clean and driven. What's going on??

Both inputs use the same tube at the input . Is the channel 1 input jack are "broken", defective ?A bad solder give some resistance ?

There are only few resistors between this input jack and the tube.

The most common problem in this area is the solder joints for the input jack that is most often used, requiring removal of the main circuit board to correct. If the solder joints are broken, you might consider replacing the stock circuit board mounted jacks with traditional type jacks.
