Hey everybody! I was just wondering if anyone had built a speaker cab for their SCXD and if so how they feel about the end result. I am currently contemplating either changing the stock speaker in mine or building a cabinet and was just trying to get a feel for what the best option, for me, would be. Here is a preemptive thanks to all those that reply.

I changed the speaker in mine to the Rajun Cajun. It adds volume, more low end and clarity. I've been very happy with it and truly enhances the SCXD sound. A cab with 1 or 2 12" Cannabis Rex speakers would be nice though too.

Thanks for the reply rapaul, idk if your xd did this or not but mine starts sounding tinny or like its coming through a bullhorn sometimes. Especially when i get the volume up over 5 or so, i'm new to the guitar and amp game so any input anyone has would be helpful. It doesn't cut out or anything like that it just doesn't sound how it did when i first got it. I know speakers have to break in and i'm fairly sure it was new when i bought, if it wasn't it was barely used at all. So i just want an idea of whether a speaker change or building a cab with 2- 12s would remedy the tinny sound or if i'm just hearing things. I love the amp and all the different models it has, i just want a fuller sound out of it. Also mine has plenty of low-end i find myself rolling the bass control down to 1 or 2 and turning the treble up more often than not. Thanks again!

I haven't had anything like that happen. Nothing wrong with a cab though ...it'll definitely fill out your tone.
