Hi all. I am the original owner of a evil twin. It has the red knobs. I agree with some posters that the clean channel is great, but the gain channel leaves a bit to be desired. Does anyone else have one? Can anyone explain some good settings on channel 2 for a good blues tone? ALso, what is the major difference between this and the regular twin other than the gain channel' Thanks for posting something other than they "suck".

Don't have the Twin, but I have a Super 60, which is also a red knob. 60 watts, 1x12 combo. It won't sound the same, but thinking back several yrs to my bro in law's red knob Twin, it seems similar.

Using a Hamer Archtop Custom, w/Seymour Duncans, 59n and Custom 5 b, I get a sound suitable for harder styles of blues rock and beyond w/bass at about 11 0 clock, mids about 1 o clock, and treble at about 9 o clock. Reverb is off, and Presence is at 9 o clock. I'm running the gain around 10 o clock. I might boost that up for a higher octane sound, but not much.

The Custom 5 pup, BTW, is a beefed up version of their 59. Still has a vintage vibe.
