Only on the REverb channel when using Reverb and Tremelo together. Not continuous, but random bursts

Goes away when I start to play

Is this just a characteristic of this amp, or should I get it checked out while still under warranty?

Thanks

Not by any means is it "normal" !
Bring back to dealer to have it repaired.

If you are comfortable with changing tubes, V4 appears to be common tube in that channel. Try swapping it with another tube in the amp or with a known good tube to see if the problem goes away. Otherwise, take it to a good amp tech.

It's likely the infamous "Trem Tic". Do a search in here, because there are numerous posts on it (and some possible "solutions", most of which revolve around wishful thinking). A Google search will yield some other things that won't work either. There is an electro-optical "bug" on the board that is the usual culprit. I just learned to live with it. Only becomes a problem if you record, I'm told.

Hi,
Having the same issues with my deluxe reverb. The "trem tic" plus when you drive that channel it's really noisey especially compared to the normal channel.
Want to change the tubes out.
Does anyone have a recommendation for what replacement tubes to use? Thanks

Individual tastes may vary, but I'm using Jan Phillips 5751's in V1-V2 and V4 with no problems. They are kinda expensive though.

Gary,
Thanks for getting back to me.
How would you describe your sound? Clean, warm?
Can drive that channel at volume setting 4 or 5 without a lot of backgroung noise from the channel with those tubes?
