Okay so the local shop has two used amps for sale that has me gassing a bit. Champ 25 SE is going for $175 and the Seymour Duncan Convertible for 200. Any one have any experience with either one and do either of them have issues I should be aware of? thx

I guess not Bill. Anyway both these amps sound pretty good and are in good shape cosmetically. I'm leaning towards the Duncan because of it's multiple output options ( built in attenuation of some sort). I haven't had a high output amp since getting rid of my mid- seventies Twin a few years back becuase of the weight issue... and playing venues that didn't require that kind of volume. So now I have a DRRI and a Super Champ for gigs and practicing. The problem being that I have a few outdoor festival type gigs coming late in the summer and I find that mic'ing the Deluxe doesn't quite do it for me in those type situations....hence the Duncan seems to be a good fit......the Champ 25 Se is just a nice sounding practice type amp that is fugly as all get out but sounds pretty good for small rooms and would allow me to go stereo with the DRRI...anyhow have a good one :?
